East China Inn in Nortd Aurora

This review is for the North Aurora location. The food is consistently excellent and we love the big round tables with the lazy Susan for family gatherings. The staff is friendly and attentive as well. Definitely reccommend!

Curry chicken to go was quickly prepared and very tasty. Good portion of chicken in the large order. I would come back if I lived in the area for sure.

The best Chinese food ever, anywhere. I can’t eat Chinese food anywhere else anymore because this place is so good! The Mongolian beef is so juicy and flavorful, the sweet and sour chicken is delicious, the egg rolls are superb, and the egg drop soup is slurp-worthy. Fast service in all locations. Always friendly staff that keeps the restaurant extremely clean and relaxed.

Friendly, prompt service and very good food. They too have gone to add on charges for things that used to be included in specials but tasty lunch helps you forget those changes. North Aurora location, per Mom, is the BEST East China Inn spot.

Only Chinese place in Kane county I'll eat at . Beef sticks, egg drop soup Mongolian beef pepper steak are all wonderful. Chefs are fast.

East China Inn, North Aurora is a very good restaurant. We really enjoy the sesame chicken with fried rice lunch special. Mongolian Beef is another favorite there. The Hot and Sour Soup is wonderful. My wife loves their vegetable soup. The egg rolls could be better.They have curbside delivery now that the virus stops us from dining in, and are always very friendly.

Very good Chinese restaurant. I have had the egg rolls and various chicken dishes. Kids love the orange chicken and others in my party enjoyed the egg fu young. Wait staff is very friendly and service is good. Usually no wait without a reservation.

It's fine. What kind of Chinese place doesn't let you sub fried rice for white rice? I don't mean sub without an up-charge, i mean sub at all? The food is also super average. its a shame of the few Chinese places in the area 2 of them are East China Inns.

This place is the one I always prefer. I go to many restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very attentive and the cooking they place on your table is so delicious. I am always happy to have a nice meal here. Highly recommended.

First time at East China Inn and I wasn’t disappointed! I am very picky with eating Chinese food but I would definitely return. The food portions were VERY large and affordable. They bring the food out on separate dishes and the rice in a bowl. Then, you have an eating plate which allows you to share the dishes with those you came with. Didn’t think I’d like that at first but it was actually really nice to be able to try different types of dishes. The meat was EXCEPTIONALLY great. The beef practically peeled apart it was so tender. One thing: I will say their white rice wasn’t the best. It was decent but not the best.

Love fried rice

This has been my ‘go to’ for Chinese food when I am at home for the last 20+ years. Great menu, great lunch specials, great people!

One star for taste plus one star for price equals this 2 star rating. Typical "Chinese" food (American Chinese), but subpar overall. Service is abysmal, at best. The owner can be polite at times, but the rest of the staff is rude. I've received friendlier, more helpful service at a fast food restaurant. Speaking of fast food. Your best bet is to order their food to go. Also, if you enjoy spicy food, I'm sorry to say they have only 2 spicy offerings; their Hot and Sour soup (which is only slightly spicy, think medium salsa), and the Hot Mustard condiment.

I’ve only ordered take out or home delivery. Order always as requested and can I just give this place 10 stars for always having the best customer service. Sometimes after a hard day when you’re ready to break all you want is decent customer service. This place never misses the mark.

two days ago was the first time in this excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We had a good time with the courteous service, with the exceptional meal and fine drinks and with the friendly cost. We will absolutely return there soon.

I take my family to this lovely spot often! This is my favorite restaurant to to have a good dinner. I visit this spot at least once a month. The food is very tasty, the staff is courteous and the price is decent. I like being in this restaurant over a rich dinner.

Excellent food. North Aurora location consistently provides quality service. Shrimp with lobster sauce is outstanding!

We eat here every time I visit and the help was much friendlier than usual and we didn't feel "rushed". The menu is huge, portions large enough for two meals. Take home rice is given in a cute little container. Were not offered cocktails. Watching my calories and this has become one of my go to places for tasty food. The lunch prices are very reasonable and the specials include soup

We always eat here. Lunch specials are awesome, but, they have changed the egg rolls. Not nearly as good. Please change them back!! Instead of crispy cabbage, they have mushy green stuff. Not good!! Usually they are the best part but this time, I didn't finish it. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. The food here is the best I have had and of the 3 locations this is the best food wise too. Egg rolls are great and the portion size is large! Fast service needs to be a little friendlier though!

This joint is excellent, at least as far as the food and takeout service are concerned. I'm a big fan of their soups, especially the Sizzling Rice Soup and the Chinese Vegetable Soup. One of those with an order of egg rolls is a perfect meal for me. But literally everything I've had from this place was delicious and clearly prepared with care. This is one of the rare Chinese places that pays close attention to detail on take out orders: I usually ask for some of their table mustard on the side, and they've never forgotten it. Not once. In fact, they're so consistent about it that when I ordered today, I thought they had forgotten it because it was in a different location: it was inside the plastic bag they had put the paper bag in and I didn't see it. I wonder if they have a "secret" Chinese menu. That's usually where my favorite items are. I'll have to ask them.

This place is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. when I I need a special lunch, this place comes instantly to my head. splendid and all sorts of food and a large menu.generous staff, and pleasant mood. Not less important, the charge is reasonable. I suggest this place with no doubt.

I had just called to place in order, but the lady on the phone was very rude and yelling at me. They are all very rude. I'm never ordering food from them ever again! EVER AGAIN! I would not recommend this place.

Side note: my issue isn't the food, its the service.I just placed an order on the website. After waiting 30 minutes past time time the food was supposed to arrive. I called and they said they never got the order. I gave them the order number and said I got the confirmation email. They said the system had failed and they now have the order ,but it was going to be 25 minutes at least before the food even got here. I asked them how they were going to take care of me or keep me as a customer because it was their mistake regardless of who they work with to manage their website. They said they won't do anything for me to keep me as a customer, so I cancelled the order. At least they refunded the money quickly.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, I do have a usual order but everything on the menu is wonderful and not overly salty or spicy, although I appreciate spice and their spicy entrees to have a little bit of a kick.

The food is always delicious, generous portions and great prices.

Good food reasonable lunch prices

It can be tough to find good Chinese food in the far western suburbs, but this is a very good spot that my family and I have visited several times. The important facts: clean, big portions, tasty, good prices and Chinese horoscope place mats (born in the year of the monkey!). The service is good if you're dining-in too, but our waiter was a little splashy with the water refills. The food came out quick and hot. We boxed up plenty of leftovers and went home satisfied.

If you like Chinese it is a must. They also have carryout and delivery.

Had a good experience in here with my kids. The food comes quick and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are affordable.

I have been going here for at least the past 10 years. Always very prompt service and friendly. They have a wide variety of typical Chinese dishes. I enjoy their Hot & Sour soup because it is on the spicy side, as well as their General Tso's Chicken. I also think the Sizzling Imperial Beef is excellent. I would highly recommend East China Inn if you are looking for a nice Chinese restaurant.

Egg rolls tastes like they forgot to cook them. Like dough wrapped around blandness. Cashew chicken was room temp and uninteresting. The sweet and sour pork was very hot, yay!! The sause for it was ok. I've had better, but I've never had worse. At least it was very affordable! The fortune cookie was on target and very fresh. It predicted that I would regret a choice I made today. Boy do I! Oh, the restaurant was nice inside. My order was to go.

Love coming here. Great and friendly staff. Food is very good too! Co-workers and I visit occasionally for lunch specials.
